• Conducted hearings with proposals from community members, community organizations, and city departments regarding projects to improve public art, landscape improvements, and beautification projects throughout Boston

• As the public member of the committee, deliberated with fellow committee members to develop funding recommendations to the Mayor of Boston, Treasurer, and City Council President

• Quickly gained respect of fellow board members to be selected as President of the non-profit Friends group supporting the Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site (FLO NHS)

• Leading several key initiatives in support of the FLO NHS including the landscape restoration of the Green Hill Parcel, which involves Friends of Fairsted’s the single largest donation in history 

• Organized the organizations well-regarded semi-annual lecture series with luminary practitioners and scholars

• Successfully erased a significant budget deficit through innovative fundraising while increasing member benefits and increased member satisfaction

• Led the planning efforts for dozens of educational opportunities, social gatherings, and awards events including the organization’s first annual conference

• Led the development, management, and evolution of BSLA Fieldbook, a semi-annual journal educating members on current trends and major developments in the field, providing important information about the organization, and informing policy makers about the work of the profession through targeted mailing

• Gained a following from national leaders while successfully serving as the chapter co-chair for the 2013 ASLA Annual Meeting where 5,000 landscape architects convened in Boston from around the world

• Convinced the mayor and Board of Aldermen to approve the creation NH’s first municipally sponsored design competition 

• Led a diverse team of nine jury members, many with no design/planning experience from the creation of the competition’s Call for Entries to the evaluation of the dozens of entries spanning five continents

• Successfully handled several controversial neighborhood issues, addressed long-term, city-wide issues, and co-led the management of a $140M+ school construction project

• Collaborated with colleagues to rewrite the city's land use codes, which have not been updated in thirty years

• Participated in the development and approval of the city's first downtown master plan

• Successfully navigated several budgets through mayoral and aldermanic approvals which provided significant improvements to educational quality

• Co-led the management of the $4.7M renovation and expansion of Amherst Street Elementary School while addressing the addressing the equitable delivery of educational services to the school with the district's highest percentage of free and reduced lunch

• Led and advised nearly 100 political campaigns at varying levels (federal, state, county, and local) levels with an exceptional success rate of over 70%

• Coordinated special fundraising events, rallies, and town hall meetings with speakers such as Fmr. Senator Bill Bradley and Fmr. Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell
